Which one did I pick?

So, after going over all the common rooms from the Hogwarts: Legacy game, which one did I pick as my favorite? Can you guess which one I’d pick?

Gryffindor would have to be the first one I’d have to cross off. Although I love the gothic feel of it, it’s the smallest one of all the common rooms and it has too many stairs. I’m not going to want to walk up and down the stairs to get to my dormitory after I’ve spent all day walking up and down a bunch of stairs trying to get to my classes.

Ravenclaw is has a bigger common room than Gryffindor, plus, it’s blue and has all those books everywhere. However, I wouldn’t like walking up and down the stairs to get to my dormitory and I’m afraid the fireplace would be a safety hazard in my case. Also, I don’t know if I can answer some of the riddles in order to gain entry to the common room instead of using some kind of password.

Hufflepuff also has a bigger common room than Gryffindor, plus, it’s light and airy which translates to being able to read my books without hurting my eyes during any down time. There’s also very few stairs in this common room which is another plus. The only problem with this one is all the plants everywhere potentially messing with my allergies.

Slytherin has a bigger common room than Gryffindor and there’s very few stairs in it. The fewer the stairs, the happier I am. The feel and the architecture here is darker than Hufflepuff so that may be hurtful to the eyes when trying to read or do any studying. But I wouldn’t have to contend with plants possibly messing with my allergies.

So, which one did I end up picking…….? This was a really hard decision for me. I waffled back and forth between Hufflepuff and Slytherin. Both common rooms have very few stairs (I know I’m not going to enjoy climbing stairs after a long day of already climbing up and down stairs all day while attending classes). But the Hufflepuff common room is light and air-y which would be the perfect environment for me to be able to study after classes are over and doing any reading in my spare time. The Slytherin common room, while I enjoy the feel and architecture of the common room, is the exact opposite. I’ve always been told, don’t try to read in the dark because it’ll hurt your eyesight (I got caught once for trying to read after my bed time and got the speech of it’ll hurt your eyes). The only down side to the Hufflepuff common room is all the plants everywhere……I fear that may potentially set off my allergies.

In the end, I settled on Hufflepuff because I feel like that’s the house that I belong in. Also, Hufflepuff is the one house that Harry didn’t get to visit in any of the books or movies so that was the common room I was most looking forward to exploring when the game came out. As far as the plants messing with my allergies, I figured that my allergies would already be taking a hit anyway when the weather changes (it always happens every year anyway when the season change from hot to cold or vise versa). So, I figured I just take some allergies medicine to help cope (which I already do that now anyway). But Slytherin did make a very close second though.
