Vue terrace homes in Robina community sell out

Rob Thompson and Rae Harvey were one of the last couples to buy in Vue Terrace Homes in Robina, which has sold out.

THE $170m Vue Terrace Homes community in Robina has sold out, with the final home going unconditional this week for more than $120,000 more than those who bought at launch.

In a sprint to the finish, developer Robin Group recorded more than $25m in sales since January, ending its transformation of the six-hectare site located in Robina’s Stadium Village precinct, which sits alongside the Gold Coast council’s multi-million dollar “central park” project, set to commence construction this year.

Rob Thompson and Rae Harvey are first-time buyers as are a lot of the residents who bought in Vue.

Yet in a sign of the present heated market, the price of an entry level home in the development rose from $599,000 at launch in late 2016 to $739,000 in its final stages.

Robina Group development manager Darrell Irwin said demand for the final homes soared in

2021 with buyers recognising the value of purchasing a new home in a central and well-connected area.

Robina’s master-planned residential community, the $170 million Vue Terrace Homes, is located at the heart of Robina’s education and transport hub.

“There’s been a huge surge in interest in quality property on the Gold Coast this year, driven

by low interest rates, strong interstate migration and a trend toward people reassessing their

lifestyle priorities since COVID-19.

“Projects that stack up in terms of design, location and value are extremely sought-after.”

Mr Irwin said the opportunity for people to move straigt in folowing the completion of build on the 263 three-bedroom homes, helped to drive sales.

“More than 80 per cent of buyers in the final stage were locals ready to move into their new

home,”he said.

The popularity of ‘residential resorts’ influenced the design of Vue Terrace Homes.

First-time buyers Rob Thompson and Rae Harvey managed to pick up one of the last remaining homes.

“We found there was nothing else like Vue on the Gold Coast,” Ms Harvey said. “The community has picturesque views and a relaxed and friendly resort-style feel – and we could move straight in,” she said.

“We haven’t been able to wipe the smiles off our faces. It is a beautiful home in a fantastic

area, and we can see ourselves living here for many years to come.”

Robina Group director Tony Tippett said Vue had generated more than 3600 jobs, across 50

different trades, and injected more than $100m into the local economy.

The homes were built by Hutchinsons Builders.

Built by Hutchinson Builders, Mr Tippett said the community had been a significant catalyst for growth in the Stadium Village precinct, re-energising vacant land around Cbus Stadium and cementing the area as a place to live, work, and play.

Robina Group said it has no immediate new residential developments in the pipeline but it has put a block of land at 116 Laver Drive, adjacent to the Robina Train and Bus Interchange, on the market.

The group said it was an excellent opportunity for a developer that was ready to take advantage of the strong market conditions.

The site has development approval for a residential, commercial or mixed-use project of up to eight storeys.
