VIDEO: How to Plant a Multi-Graft Pear Tree 🍐 || Flock

Ever wondered what a multi-graft fruit tree is or why you might want one? Or maybe you want to know how to best plant one of these special trees?
Let Summer Rayne Oakes from @flockfingerlakes teach all you need to know about multi-grafts and follow along as she plants a special 4-in-1 multi-graft pear tree 🍐 in their orchard.

For those wondering, multi-graft fruit trees are a type of tree that has multiple types of fruit grafted onto one tree. This can be done with different varieties of the same fruit, or with different types of fruits. Typically these trees will produce fruit in 1-3 years.

These are sometimes referred to as “fruit cocktail” trees.

The grafts are all created by using plants within the same genus. Typically, you can find fruit cocktail trees that have as little as two fruit varieties grafted on or as many six.

This 4-in-1 pear tree is a special tree for the Flock team. While their orchard area is already filled with key plants they decided to add this tree and other orchard varieties to the interstitial area which already has other fruiting trees and shrubs.
