The Block 2022: Shelley Craft’s savvy side hustle
Interior design queen Shelley Craft, and her real estate agent husband Christian Sergiacomi, are on to their next reno project, going off market to pay $1.8 million in Suffolk Park.
It is a four bedroom, 1990s-built home on a vast 2905 sqm block which last sold for $1.6 million in 2020, becoming a $1000 a week rental for its Melbourne-based investor.
It looks a very savvy purchase given house prices exploded by almost 50 per cent in the suburb last year, according to realestate.com.au
Last September The Block interior designer Craft and Sergiacomi offloaded their nifty mid-century modern renovation project in the heart of Byron Bay at $2.3 million.
Sergiacomi and The Block star Craft had paid $1.18 million for the investment property in 2019.
The couple retain their recently completed beach house at Belongil.

In January, fellow interior designer from The Block, Darren Palmer and his partner, cosmetics businessman Olivier Duvillard, spent $3.85 million nearby on a chic home, complete with saltwater pool, just 100m from Tallow Beach.
Plans for the next Block to be in Byron hit a hurdle, so
the filming is now taking place in regional Victoria.
Meanwhile, the V Australia host, Renee Bargh, along with her boyfriend Andrew Lange, have bought their first home together. The couple, who only recently went public across social media, have spent $2,475,000 on a home on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
The 1950s Avalon home on its 460 sqm block was extensively renovated following its last sale, back in 2013 when it fetched $795,000. It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a stone kitchen, and a combined living and dining area with limewashed floors.
Cunninghams Real Estate agents Jane Gamson and Jonathan Fletcher secured the sale, having marketed it as a “flawless, modernised beach cottage with separate studio”.
Bargh got on the property ladder in 2020, paying $1.1 million for a 1990s-built home in Suffolk Park, just south of Byron Bay, where she grew up.
Bargh, who was born in Queensland, recently posted to Instagram about the house.
“Contemplating whether my relationship will survive if we attempt to plaster/paint our walls together so they look just like Hake House,” Bargh (inset) asked her 107,000 followers.
Bargh started in the entertainment industry as a popstar in 2006, part of the group Girlband.
