The Best Advice
Writer and illustrator Hallie Bateman gives the best advice. On her Instagram feed, she often shares wise words scribbled on torn scraps of paper — things like, “invite everyone” and “there are many kinds of beauty and your kind is one of them!” I always am struck by what she says and feel more grounded after reading. Luckily for us, this week, she published a book of her thoughts called Directions: Really Good Advice for Getting from Here to There.
Also, now I’m curious: What random talents do you have? I can talk easily to little kids and always know what time it is.
