You can taste salty, sugary and tangy all at once! And of course, they taste even better right after you’ve just pulled them out of the pot. Let’s try cooking them, shall we?

Add some pleasantly zesty and filling Sweet and Sour Chicken Meatballs to your list of favorite dishes to make at home! Come learn the steps with me:

Our first step involves, of course, creating the most delectable and hearty chicken meatballs. Do this by taking 1 lb. of ground chicken, and putting this in a big mixing bowl. Now start grating 1 Knorr chicken cube, and sprinkle ¼ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper over it. Proceed by cracking open 1 egg onto your bowl, and mix everything inside thoroughly.

Gather ½ cup of breadcrumbs, and gradually place some into your bowl as you mix the ingredients. Now we will start shaping our meatballs by taking 2 tablespoons of the mixture. Now roll this into a ball, and continue the process until you finish the contents of your bowl.

Start cooking up the meatballs you’ve molded together:

With a pan, heat up ¼ cup of cooking oil, and get ready with your raw meatballs. Start adding them to your pan, then fry these in medium heat. Also ensure that every few seconds, you get to roll the balls to cook them all the way around. When you are done frying them– our primary sign being a brown exterior for the chicken meatballs– remove them and set these aside.

We can now check frying off our list. Let’s move on to the rich, delightful sauce that will be coating our chicken meatballs:

For this, we will utilize the remaining oil from the pan to sauté 2 tablespoons of Julienned onion until the layers are separated. Now place your ¼ cup of Julienned bell peppers, and 3 tablespoons of Julienned carrots inside the pot to cook them for 1 minute.

Start pouring 1 ¾ cups of water. Also add 5 tablespoons of white sugar, 4 tablespoons of white vinegar, and 4 tablespoons of banana ketchup inside. Now wait for this to boil. And then proceed to stir them until they have more or less combined well together. Now we will need 1 ½ tablespoons of cornstarch that’s been diluted in 2 tablespoons of water. Its purpose is to add some texture and thickness to our sauce. Keep stirring until you notice that the sauce has become perfectly thick.

Now place your chicken meatballs into the pot again. And stir them together so they become wrapped up in a gorgeous coat of orange sauce. Place these on your serving plate, and feel free to share this with peers who’ll surely love this plate of juicy, flavorful meatballs!
