The design for ‘Byron Bay Residence’ in Byron Street was inspired by the Byron landscape and will feature circular, linked pavilions.
The single-storey, resort-style residence will feature a cellar, a gym, a day spa with a sauna, a steam room, a games room and an amazing circular swimming pool.
The mystery client has not been revealed, but Mills is well known for designing homes for the well-heeled, including updating one of Australia’s most historic homes, Kirribilli House — the home of Australia’s prime minister.
“This project is symbolic of the change in the Byron Bay landscape,” Mr Mills told Property Confidential.
