See Matt Bomer Succeed Henry Cavill As Superman For ‘Man Of Steel 2’
The star leaves the Doom Patrol for the Fortress of Solitude.
A new concept design imagines Matt Bomer as Henry Cavill’s Superman replacement for a potential Man of Steel 2.
Although it’s still not 100% clear if Henry Cavill will be back to reprise his role as Superman in the DC Extended Universe, there’s plenty of candidates available to fill the iconic boots if he decides his time as the Last Son of Krypton is over. One actor that often gets mentioned by Superman fans is Doom Patrol star Matt Bomer. Although he’s busy playing Negative Man next to the rest of the dysfunctional superhero family, a fan-made image puts him in the Superman suit for Man of Steel 2.
The artwork comes from Instagram user ‘skull101ify’ and gives Matt Bomer the costume first worn by Henry Cavill in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. And while the director’s version of Justice League is heading to HBO Max later this year, many fans still want to see a sequel to Superman’s first solo film in the DCEU. But with Cavill’s schedule getting busier and busier thanks to projects like The Witcher, who knows if he’d even be available to return if a sequel managed to get the green light. The Matt Bomer concept shows the star in front of the Fortress of Solitude and he certainly fits the part. Take a look below.
Would you like to see Matt Bomer step into the Superman costume if Henry Cavill does leave the role behind? Who else would you like to see in a Man of Steel sequel? Comment below and let us know!
