Sandra Bullock Sells 2 Homes on Georgia’s Tybee Island for a Combined $4,175,000

The actress Sandra Bullock has sold two beach houses on Georgia’s Tybee Island.

The combined purchase price of the properties totaled $4,175,000. Rachel Umbreit and Ruthie Lynah-Whitlow of Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller.

She purchased the island compound in 2001, for just under $1.5 million. Her investment had already paid off. The property was available as a vacation rental for as much as $1,400 a night, before she decided to part with the place.

In 2019, she listed the main house for a jaw-dropping $6.5 million, but wasn’t able to coax a buyer to bite.

She then dropped the price to $6.1 million, before slashing the ask, by about half, to $3.3 million a year ago. The drastic price reduction finally attracted a buyer, and the sale closed this month for $3,125,000.

Even with the dramatic discount of the original asking price, the final sale was the highest sale price ever recorded in the city of Tybee Island, according to the Savannah MLS.

More real estate transactions followed. The actress also sold an adjoining, smaller guesthouse to a separate buyer for $1.05 million.

Each set of buyers purchased the homes fully furnished, minus a few personal items, realtor.com® has learned.
