The $2.125 million sale is the highest price paid for a residential property in Ormeau in almost three years, CoreLogic property data shows.
“That’s huge money for Ormeau,” NGU Real Estate selling agent Emil Juresic said. “And a great start for the year.
“We had 150 inquiries and had reached out on social media to over 100,000 people. Our Facebook posts of the property had almost 2000 comments.”
The large family estate on nearly 6000sq m includes two separate homes, one three-bedroom house with its own driveway, and a five-bedroom Metricon home that was built five years ago.
“I see many high end homes that don’t have a good layout. This had the perfect layout. There was a 600sq m home, five years old, extremely well looked-after with beautiful gardens.
“The buyers had been looking for a property for two years and the second they walked into this home they knew.”
The larger house also has a 10m x 10m shed, a super-sized pool with a slide and a 10-person spa with an outdoor entertaining zone.
The smaller home is separately metered on 2200sq m and also has a 13m x 12m shed with a bathroom, workshop, office and mezzanine level, a covered outdoor living area and a 30,000 litre water tank.
“The options are endless. You could rent out (the smaller house) and get additional income or you could have the kids here living in the back house while they get settled in the property market.”
The sellers are moving to Sovereign Island and the buyers are a retired couple who have been living on 400sq m in Burleigh Heads and were looking for low maintenance acreage living.
