Pool reno so good it made Top 10
A renovated pool has been ranked as one of the coolest in Australia after hitting the market in a Queensland property that’s priced at offers over $6m.
Owners Nigel and Rozina Vibert were surprised to hear that their upgraded infinity pool made the cut for Australia’s Top 100 Cool Pools list, but said the location at 31 Pacific Heights Court, Coolum Beach, still took their own breaths away most days.

“We’re very lucky that the view is so amazing. Sometimes you forget and you’ve got to pinch yourself to realise where you are and what you’ve got. The beauty of it is from that level you see the pool and look over the coast.”
Perched on the hillside, the pool has panoramic views across the Sunshine Coast, from the ocean to beaches and surrounding countryside, with windows under the waterline facing the beach to take in the views while doing laps.
Their real estate agent Craig Morrison said potential buyers inspecting the property were always wowed by the view over the pool.
“The most impressive thing about this pool is it’s one of those infinity edges where it looks like you’re floating in the sky, but the feedback from potential buyers is the view from the pool is amazing. It’s not often you get a pool that seems to be hanging off a cliff.”
Mr Vibert said they’d never considered a pool renovation until they discovered it would be possible while they were undertaking another home upgrade.

His favourite thing was to look out over the pool zone and see the colours change throughout the day.
“It changes colours with the sky and the sea changes colours (through the day). I can’t put it into words, it’s just amazing. It’s one of those things where you see the picture and it’s nice, but it’s even better when you’re here.”
