Pies star Steele Sidebottom handballs Kew cottage
Steele Sidebottom has kicked on his home at 97 Eglinton Street, Kew.
Collingwood premiership player Steele Sidebottom has handballed his renovated Kew family home.
The three-bedroom Victorian cottage at 97 Eglinton Street sold for an undisclosed price “in excess of $2m” after being called on the market at $1.78m, according to Marshall White Boroondara’s Hamish Tostevin.
“The owners and the buyer are very happy with the result,” Mr Tostevin said.

The kitchen was updated in a renovation.
“There were three bidders and it was bought by someone scaling down from a larger family home. (The buyer) loved the feel of it from day one — she was one of the first people through it on the first night.”
In 2019, Sidebottom and his partner Alisha Edwards revamped the kitchen, bathroom and outdoor entertainment area.
Mr Tostevin previously told the Herald Sun the property featured a sought-after “blend of old and new”.
The front of the house still retains period charm with open fireplaces and decorative ceilings.
Bi-fold doors lead through the stylish lounge room to the backyard with a built-in barbecue and bar fridge, flanked by a low-maintenance garden.

“People love that pocket of Kew, being so near the park,” Mr Tostevin added.
Sidebottom’s decorated 251-game career has included being named in the All-Australian team, collecting two Copeland Trophies, and being runner-up for the 2018 Brownlow Medal — on top of a 2010 flag.
The footballer and Ms Edwards also had their first daughter, Matilda, last year.
They plan to move to a former investment property a little further out in Melbourne’s east, in order to be closer to family.
