Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 director James Gunn explained he doesn’t have much input on Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder.

James Gunn recently praised Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder and explained how the pair have tied Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 and the Chris Hemsworth sequel together. Photos of the cosmic team surfaced online alongside Hemsworth on the Love and Thunder set as production gets underway in Australia – also showing new costumes for the heroes. And according to James Gunn, the script for the Thor sequel is “amazing.”

James Gunn recently spoke to fans on Twitter about his upcoming projects when he was asked about his input on Thor: Love and Thunder. The director explained that although he didn’t have much to do with the sequel, he collaborated with Taika Waititi on the Guardians of the Galaxy characters and where their story is heading in vol. 3 – also revealing that they’ve read each other’s scripts. Full details on the plot for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder are currently being kept under lock and key, though the film will be partly based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, in which Jane Foster becomes the new Thor. Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Christian Bale.
