James Gunn Offers Update On First ‘The Suicide Squad’ Trailer
Writer and director James Gunn has shared an update on when we can expect the first trailer for The Suicide Squad.
Many films have released trailers in the past year, only to get delayed several months to an entire year due to movie theaters’ uncertainty because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad completed filming before COVID-19 and is still set for an August release. There’s no telling whether theaters will be open by the end of the summer, but The Suicide Squad will also be released on HBO Max, as will all of Warner Bros.’s 2021 films alongside a theatrical release.
Since it now looks unlikely that The Suicide Squad will be pushed back thanks to Warner Bros.’s new release model, DC fans are waiting for a proper glimpse at the film. At DC FanDome, we got a behind-the-scenes look at The Suicide Squad, but with less than eight months till the film comes out, James Gunn shared a trailer update via Twitter:
I know, I know. You want the trailer. Or the teaser. Or more news. Or who the baddie is (they ALL are the baddies but also…) Anyway this will all be with you in due time, I’m working on cool stuff for you, but please be patient! ? https://t.co/5LdiviegQU
