‘Godzilla Vs. Kong’ Theatrical & HBO Max Release Moves Up To March 2021

Godzilla vs. Kong is now coming out two months earlier!

Warner Bros. has announced Godzilla vs. Kong will arrive in theaters and on HBO Max two months earlier with a new March 2021 release date.

Legendary notably took issue with Waner Bros.’s announcement of moving their 2021 slate to HBO Max because of their financing of Godzilla vs. Kong and Dune. Negotiations between the two studios have been underway and it now looks like a deal has been reached as Godzilla vs. Kong gets a new release date.

Godzilla vs. Kong was originally slated to come out May 21, but the upcoming MosterVerse film will now be released in theaters and on HBO Max two months earlier on March 26, 2021. Not much has been seen from Godzilla vs. Kong so far, but the film’s new release date means that we could be getting a proper look soon.

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.
