Geelong’s first “sky home” has hit the market with a price guide that matches the altitude.

The four-bedroom level 21 residence sits atop Geelong’s Miramar tower, offering incredible views over Corio Bay and the city centre.

It’s owner, developer James Morphy, engaged architects Watson Young to fit out the interior of the penthouse apartment that occupies the prime north and east faces of Geelong’s tallest residential building.

Whitford, Newtown agents Andre Veronie and Dale Whitford have listed the 249sq m residence at 2104/18-20 Cavendish St with price expectations from $4.9 million to $5 million.

“It’s really Geelong’s premier penthouse with uninterrupted views across the bay to the You Yangs and over the CBD,” Mr Veronie said.

“When the property was built, James left it as a shell and Watson Young redesigned the interior of the home and refitted the entire interior with different fittings and hand-picked the furniture to finish the apartment.

“It’s quite bespoke in its design and its finish. There is really nothing like it.”

The furniture can be included in the deal for the apartment.

Mr Veronie said the home is set to retain its title at the pinnacle of apartment living.

“Level 21, there is nothing like in Geelong and I don’t know if there will be anything like it again.

“You’ve got over 200sq m of space and it’s like a sky home. Nothing will beat it.”

Mr Veronie said details such as inset carpets inside the parquetry work, coffered ceilings, subtle lighting made sure it stood out.

He said early interest see it as a permanent home or a Geelong residence when they spend time here.

The home has 217sq m of interior space, with 32sq m over two balconies. There are four individual car spaces and a storage cage in the basement for new owners to, Mr Veronie said.

“So you don’t have to lug you golf clubs upstairs when you come home,” he joked.

The home is currently rented for $2000 a week, expiring in June.
