Fortnitemares Returns to Frighten the Battle Royale Island
Fortnite’s annual limited-time Halloween event returns with frightening new skins, challenges, game modes, and horror-themed weapons. Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnitemares 2024.

Fortnitemares 2024 Challenges, Game Mode, And Event
This time around, in Fortnitemares, you don’t need to spend V-Bucks to get your hands on the new spooky items. In this year’s Fortnitemares you can unlock rewards by completing quests. There are only 11 rewards that players can unlock from the event.
- Complete 1 Quest: The Fangler Bass
- Complete 2 Quests: Carver’s Helm Emoticon
- Complete 3 Quests: Horde’s War Wheel Back Bling
- Complete 4 Quests: Thrills & Chills Loading Screen
- Complete 5 Quests: Nightmare’s Choice Jam Track
- Complete 6 Quests: Knight of the Patch Banner Icon
- Complete 7 Quests: Jack-o’-Drifter Contrail
- Complete 8 Quests: Fiendish Wand Pickaxe
- Complete 9 Quests: Cauldron Chill Emote
- Complete 10 Quests: Night of the Nitemares Loading Screen
- Complete 11 Quests: The Great Scarecrow Glider
There’ll obviously be more than 11 quests in Fortnitemares, but luckily you won’t have to complete them all to get the listed rewards.
Horde Rush
Aside from the Fortnitemares Quests, Horde Rush has made its return. This limited-time mode pits you and three other players against waves of enemies and, at the very end, will include a massive cube monster boss fight. This game mode will also have its own set of challenges where you can earn XP.
Symbiote Cup
With Chapter 5 Season 4’s Marvel theme still ongoing, the last event coming on the menu is Fortnitemares Symbiote Cup. This will be a Fortnite Duos tournament where you can compete to earn the She-Venom and Agony skins if you reach the top of the leaderboard with your duo. Aside from being able to buy the She-Venom and Agony skins in the item shop, this will be a way for free-to-play players to unlock two popular symbiote skins. The tournament will begin on October 22.
Fortnitemares 2024 Skins
Fornitemares has a lot of Halloween content coming to the game and the item shop will be filled with new spooky and frightening skins coming from all sorts of different franchises.
Here are all the skins coming to Fortnitemares 2024:
- A Nightmare Before Christmas: Sally and The Pumpkin King Skins
- Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands Skin
- Disney Villains: Maleficent, Captain Hook, and Cruella De Vil Skins
- Marvel Comics: Mephisto Skin
- Marvel Comics: Agony and She-Venom Skins
- The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: Leatherface Skin
- Saw Franchise: Billy The Puppet Skin
All the skins will be available in the game’s item shop throughout the duration of Fortnitemares 2024.
Forntnitemares 2024 Weapons And Loot
The Fornitemares event will add some new weapons and items to the Battle Royale Island. For those who’ve joined the festivities of Fortnitemares in the past, they should be familiar with weapons like the Wood Stake Shotgun, Pumpkin Launcher, and the Witch Boom. Not only are those making a comeback, but this year, they’ve also added two new items: Boom Billy and the Chainsaw.
The Boom Billy is an explosive based off of Saw’s Billy the Puppet. This explosive first sends a tricycle toward the enemy before detonating. So, for those who hear Billy’s creepy laughter, you better run away. On the other hand, the Chainsaw is a unique weapon, as it combines an offensive weapon with a vehicle of sorts. You can use the Chainsaw on enemies, and also use it to traverse across the map and reach safe zones.
That’s not all though, across the map, players can tune into Billy The Puppet TV, a new on-island event. If you interact with it, you’ll be given a challenge where you’ll have to eliminate a player who also took part in Billy’s game. Both participants will wear a bear mask from the Saw movies, and if they don’t eliminate the other player in the set time, will explode. On the other hand, those who win will be given a Boom Billy and a Witch Broom.
Those looking forward to the spooky festivities can join in on all the fun of Fornitemares starting October 11. The event will run concurrently with Chapter 5 Season 4 and will end on the same date, November 1.
