Family skips building hassle to swoop on new Lara home

217 O’Hallorans Rd, Lara, sold for $765,000.

A family from Geelong’s northern suburbs has bypassed most of the hassles of building in one of the region’s newest residential estates after snapping up a new home that’s ready to move in.

Volume building Henley constructed the four-bedroom Coridale Estate residence specifically to make it ready to sell to a new buyer, Ray White Lara agent Terry Cleary said.

The family had already sold up their previous home in Corio before snapping up the brick veneer residence in O’Hallorans Rd for $765,000.

“It’s “brand new, unlived in,” he said.

“It’s built for Henley Ready. You go in there and finish it off, put your finishing personal touches to is, such as soft furniture, decorations that type of thing and landscaping in the back.

“I thought it was a very clever design with its walk-in pantry and walk-in linen.

“There was very little wasted space. It was a very clever design.”

The kitchen forms the heart of the four-bedroom house where it overlooks several living spaces.

The house offered four bedrooms plus a separate study.

Each bedroom has built-in wardrobes, with an oversized walk-in robe in the main bedroom.

There’s a spacious formal living zone at the front, with another carpeted living space at the back.

The kitchen area is the heart of the home with a large island bench overlooking both the dining and living spaces.

The full ensuite has a twin vanity and large shower.

This open plan zone provides direct access to the covered outdoor area with a twin set of stacker doors which open right up to bring the outdoors in.

Mr Cleary said the house offered the perfect chance for the family looking to upgrade.

“They’re coming out of Corio. They’ve just recently sold his home in Corio and are looking for an update into Lara.

The house is one of the first to emerge at Lara’s Coridale Estate and is near Villawood Properties new display village.

“People can go and have a look at all the open homes and go around the corner and buy one that’s already done,” he said.
