DSTIKE Custom ESP07
So what do you do if you make a really popular range of products using ESP8266 technology but you need extra memory for your products? Well in the case of Travis Lin, you customise them to meet your needs! These custom DSTIKE ESP07 boards now feature 4MB of SPI flash as opposed to other ESP07 brands which max out at 1MB.
Sold in a pack of 5 these custom modules sport the ESP8266 under the hood which can be clocked at 80 or 160MHz. All the usual WiFi stuff is integrated and it supports the usual b/g/n protocols etc. The primary motivation for the large 4MB flash package is to facilitate the smooth running of the DSTIKE Deauther project which, while it can be forced to run in under 1MB is happier and more stable in 4.
The module has an onboard ceramic antenna but, of course, also breaks out the classic u.FL connector so you can add an external antenna for your project needs. Speaking of connectivity, there are heaps of pins broken out to the headers including general IO, I2C, I2S, SPI, UART, PWM and more. To power all this it’s recommended to run this module with a 3.3V supply capable of delivering over 500mA, but it’s also noteworthy that using the deep sleep power options should be able to get power consumption down to less than 10uA.
As they come in packs of 5, we can imagine using some of these to build a small efficient DSTIKE Deauther, but the remaining modules could be really useful for a wide range of projects!
