David Ayer Reveals Never-Before-Seen Joker Scene From His ‘Suicide Squad’ Cut

A new Suicide Squad scene is here!

David Ayer has shared a never-before-seen Suicide Squad moment featuring Jared Leto’s Joker.

Suicide Squad director David Ayer has been treating fans with images and tidbits regarding his cut of the DC Films project for months now. With Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut coming to HBO Max, Ayer has said that he hopes to see his version of Suicide Squad receive a similar treatment.

Earlier this week, David Ayer took to his Instagram stories to share a video of a cut moment from Suicide Squad. The video in question features Jared Leto’s Joker, a character who has been described as “vastly better” in Ayer’s version of the movie. You can check out the video below.

Jared Leto is set to reprise his role as The Joker in Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut, which is expected to hit the WarnerMedia streaming service HBO Max this March. Snyder recently teased that Leto’s Joker will have a different look when he returns in Justice League.

Here is the official synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
