The property was snatched off the auction block in what was one of the hottest weekends of auctions in the capital city markets since April last year, with one of the biggest agency groups Ray White’s number of scheduled auctions up 7.3 per cent over the same time last year, with the preliminary auction day clearance rate at 84.3 per cent, and properties attracting an average of six registered bidders.
One bedroom, one bathroom, one garage space was how this unique home hit the market listed as a “once in a lifetime opportunity”, but it packs a punch space-wise totalling 124sq m including 74sq m internal, 35sq m external and a 15sq m car space.
With airconditioning and built-in wardrobes, the double storey home called Rosevale is one of the most spacious one bedders around – and created such a buzz it attracted attention from around the world according to agent Luke Dawson of Ray White.
He had it listed to go to under the hammer over the weekend but predicted correctly that it “will not last long” on the market.
The home went under contract before Saturday with the auction cancelled. No details were available on the price it fetched.
“When 109A last came up for sale, it attracted buyer enquiry all over the world and it seems just about the whole of Brisbane is familiar with this home,” was how he described it when listing.
The property at 109A Adamson Street, Wooloowin, is so central it’s perfect as a potential office or home business.

Among its traditional charms were polished timber floors, VJ walls, high ceilings, stained glass and breezeways.
Unusually for a one bedder it even has a private courtyard and garden.
“While the lower level hosts an office, lounge and kitchen, the upper level unveils an expansive bedroom boasting a large deck and a Juliet balcony overlooking the courtyard.”
There were also no body corporate fees on the property whose history includes being used as a hair salon, solicitors’ firm and designer kitchen business.
It’s metres away from Wooloowin train station and close to the Northern Brisbane Bikeway, which is a 20 minute ride to the city.
