Chic 1950s period Frankston home with ‘old-world’ charm hits the market
A stylishly renovated Frankston home built in the 1950s has hit the market.
The three-bedroom abode at 1 Forsyth St has been listed with an $820,000-$900,000 price tag.
2m-high fences surround the 691 sqm property, providing complete privacy, while inside contemporary flair meets period charm.

“It’s got a really nice feel about it and it gets lots of natural light,” Barry Plant Frankston director Thomas Larkin said.
“People love the old-world charm.”
The vendors, a young family, bought the glamorous home in 2016 after renovations were already completed.
While the previous occupants upgraded the kitchen, bathrooms and added fresh paint to the walls, the current owners also added plantation shutters throughout.
CoreLogic records show they paid $682,500 for the dwelling, which boasts two spacious living areas – one of which opens out on to an alfresco deck and garden.
Mr Larkin said the couple and their child were now moving to another suburb in the Bayside area.
He said he had already received some interest in the home, which “would be perfect” for another family as there were plenty of schools close by.
“People appreciate the charm and love the bay windows,” he added.
Two smaller bedrooms are located near the entrance, while the main bedroom is found at the rear and features a chic ensuite.
“You don’t get a lot of old period homes in Frankston,” Mr Larkin said. “Most of them were built in the 1970s and 80s.”
“They’re few and far between so when they do come up, they sell.”
