95 Ella Grove, Chelsea, is being marketed as” a coastal rough diamond”.

A dilapidated, rubbish-filled house in Melbourne’s southeast featuring a dirt bike parked in the kitchen is revving up buyers, attracting more than 30,000 online views in its first week on the market.

The four-bedroom home at 95 Ella Grove, Chelsea, is for sale with a $800,000-$850,000 asking range.

Photos of the kitchen show pet food bowls on the floor and a discoloured wall near the stove, while elsewhere there are rooms filled with litter and a section of collapsing ceiling.

A bottle of fertiliser is among the containers left discarded on a bathroom sink, and outdoors there is grass is growing in the pool.

The One Agency’s Cameron Howe said the house’s owner, who is based in Sydney, had only briefed him on their expectations for the house’s sale – leaving a mystery as to how the residence came to be in its current state.

Mr Howe described the house as “an exciting market opportunity” and said he had decided not to shy away from revealing its exact state to buyers.

“Many agents choose to hide the property from the market in these contexts, however the ingenuity of rawly photographing the property priced at dirt value, maximised interest with nearly 30,000 views in the first week – and it is a great opportunity for multiple buyer categories,” Mr Howe said.

His approach has worked, with the abode last week achieving the highest number of views out of all properties for sale in Australia showcased at realestate.com.au, according to PropTrack data.

Some buyers have inquired about whether the V8 Ford Fairlane car parked in the home’s driveway will be included in the sale, and Mr Howe said this has not been ruled out.

Set on 558sq m, the house features separate living and dining spaces, a bathroom with a tub, shower and vanity, powder room, laundry with a trough and timber floors.

There are also a courtyard on the side of property, sealed driveway, patio and lockup garage.

The listing states the “coastal piece of real estate appeals to astute investors, families and tradies to renovate or develop their dream, subject to permits”.

“Without the spin this coastal rough diamond is rawly depicted, which is a heartbeat from the waves of Chelsea-Edithvale beach, with underlying potential awaiting to be realised,” the listing reads.

The house will be auctioned at 12.30pm on September 7.
