Best 10 Books in…..Sci Fi/Fantasy

I’ve comprised a list of the 10 best books from the sci fi/fantasy genre. This list is in no particular order and this list is only my opinions based on what books I’ve read in the past. Enjoy!

Kat Bateson, and her two younger siblings, attend a boarding school located inside an old castle, other children begin disappearing and it’s a race against time to find out the cause.

This book begins a series that follows Jacob as he goes to an island where he finds ruins of a house where some peculiar children use to live…..or do they still live there?

Lucy Crisp moves to a new town because she still hasn’t found her calling. When she moves to this new town, she stays in a house that her father bought as an investment property and strange things begin happening.

This book takes place in the future when the a group of settlers wake up from cryostasis to find out the pilot is gone and there is no information since they left earth. It follows Cayden Wayne (for the most part) as he is figures out what happened to the time since they left earth.

I read this series nearly two decades ago. My hubby got me this book for Christmas that year and I read all of the books, luckily before the movies came out. The series includes talking beasts, heroic deeds, and epic battles between good and evil.

This book begins the Inheritance Cycle which follows Eragon (a Rider) and Saphira (a Dragon) as they learn the choices they make could save or destroy the Empire.

There are many layers and lives going on in London……some you may not always see. George Chapman is about to find this out the hard way. Oh and this book is the start of a trilogy, by the way.

The first book in a series by Stephen King, it follows Roland of Gilead, the last gunslinger as he chases after the Man in Black.

This book begins a series where they follow different story lines simultaneously……the house of Westeros, the Wall and the Targaryens.

{Note: For those that know, I am a big fan of the Harry Potter series. However, I wanted to share other series that I thought deserved a spot on this list as well.}
