Berwick beauty that transformed into nightclub for 100 wedding guests looking for special someone
A Berwick house that was transformed into a nightclub for 100 wedding guests is on the market, searching for a perfect match in its new owner.
Owner Heather McClunie said when her son married last year, she and her partner’s house at 14-16 Stylebawn Drive hosted the post-wedding celebrations.
Her daughter, DJ Lauren Mac who plays at high-end bars and venues around Melbourne and Sydney, set-up speakers and revellers from the happy occasion partied into the night.

“We had the after-party here on Sunday with about 100 guests, it was just wonderful,” Ms McClunie said.
She said the home’s red-tinted ceramic floor tiles, imported from Italy, also made the perfect dancefloor.
“It’s (the tiles) probably the feature everyone comments on, they say they love the floor,” Ms McClunie said.
“The best thing is you can go for weeks without washing them, they are very forgiving.”
She said she enjoyed not having to ask guests to remove their shoes, especially stilettos, which was handy when entertaining.
The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom residence built by Arden Homes also has a glass-tiled pool and a media room.
Its kitchen features stone benchtops, a butler’s pantry and Smeg convection and steam ovens.
All the bedrooms have ensuites, including a downstairs main bedroom known as the “guest suite” which has a view over the pool.
“We have family and friends from interstate and overseas to stay and they love it and the privacy and the space,” Ms McClunie said.
She asked well-known landscape designer Jhodie Goy to create a vista of year-round purple, green and white blossoms in the front garden.
No matter the season, flora in one or more of Ms McClunie’s favourite colours can be seen blooming outdoors.
“There are also beautiful raised garden beds out the back and I have an abundance of vegetables out the back,” she said.
The abode has remote-operated double garages, one in the house which Ms McClunie uses and the other which her husband parks in.
The pair, who are downsizing after living at the house for five years, also love the night-time view of Frankston’s and Cranbourne’s lights on show from the abode’s upstairs windows.
Ms McClunie said the privacy offered by the home’s position at the end of a long driveway was a another highlight.
Peake Real Estate director Sarah James said she had received several inquiries about the house from across Victoria and a handful from China.
“The house is going to suit a large family, with the two living areas; a few people who live with their parents or extended family have looked at it,” Ms James said.
She described the property’s design as “classy but a classic”.
Ms James said Stylebawn Way was “one of the best streets in Berwick”.
“It’s very much a street that people drive down on the weekend to look at the houses because they are pretty amazing,” the agent said.
Offers for the property, which is being sold via private sale with a $5.5m-$6m asking price, are due by 5pm Friday, April 29.
