Being Special Versus Being Happy, and Notes from the Weekend

Morning, friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve shared my notes from the weekend here, and I think I know why. The last few weeks have been such a bizarre combination of feeling like nothing much has happened (we’re still staying at home because of the pandemic) and simultaneously everything has happened (the Capitol riots, Biden took office, vaccinations started happening, and so much more.)

Anyone else feeling that same tension of boredom and overstimulation?

It sometimes leaves me a bit speechless, and sharing the fun little tidbits from my weekend hasn’t been flowing like it usually does. That said, I’m a firm believer that even in the midst of upheaval, it’s important to enjoy and be present with the little things. Now more than ever, a great article or funny new show or even an amazing pair of sneakers can brighten up our days like never before. So, I’m way overdue for sharing the links I’ve been saving up for you guys, but first, a few updates:

1 – The RE:SET Challenge is in full swing! Sign up right here if you’re not getting our weekly emails – I really think you’ll love them. And our Slack channel is going off, so come hang out with us over there, too.

2 – We’re finally done with our house remodel! We kicked it off with my living room makeover right over here.

3 – Okay this isn’t exactly an update, but people are freaking out about these sweet potatoes , so thought you should know.

Alrighty, that’s all from me today! Scroll on for some great reads from around the web lately, and I hope that y’all are enjoying your weekends. Drop a comment below and let me know how The RE:SET Challenge is going for you!
