Located about 3km from Hoi An ancient town, Bay Mau coconut forest is a favorite place for tourists thank to rustic countryside river landscape and colorful basket boats. It looks like a mini version of Mekong Delta inside Hoi An.

and a system of rivers and water coconut forest. Many tourists when going to
Hoi An have come here to visit and take pictures.
What makes Bay Mau coconut forest a well known tourist
site are the basket boats. Coming here visitors will have experience with
riding basket boat on the river and enjoy an extraordinary
dance performance with the boat.
Moreover tourists can experience other interesting
activities such as: throw casting net for fishing, crab fishing and listen to a
traditional folk song in Quang Nam province. After the boat trip you can cycle
to Cam Thanh Village or enjoy Hoi An’s specialities with the locals at their
house.

How to get there?
From Hoi An city, visitors can move to Bay Mau coconut
forest in two ways. The first way is to take the river route from Bach Dang
wharf, down the Thu Bon river to reach the coconut forest. The second option is
to follow Tran Nhan Tong street, cross Cua Dai bridge on the road.

coconut forest. The first way is to take the boat from Bach Dang wharf, down
the Thu Bon river. The second option is to go with bike or car follow Tran Nhan
Tong street, cross Cua Dai bridge.
Which time to visit?
Best time to visit Bay Mau coconut forest is in dry
season from January to September. Between August and September is optimal
because the weather is chill and the landscape of coconut is most beautiful.
How does it cost?
Entrance ticket costs 30.000 VND/person. Joining a
basket boat tour takes about 150.000-200.000 VND/person.
