Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) is coming off a devastating second-round knockout of former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in March. A former two-time unified titleholder, “AJ” is looking to join boxing legends Muhammad Ali, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis and Michael Moorer as boxing’s only three-time heavyweight champions.

“It’s more personal for me, it’s not about being in the history books,” Joshua said in a recent interview with The Sporting News. “I’m a fierce competitor. I like to put myself in tough situations. I develop my mentality, I develop my skills, and I like to put them to the test against the best formidable heavyweights out there.”

Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) won the interim IBF title by scoring an upset eighth-round stoppage win over Filip Hrgovic in June. The Londoner was later upgraded to full champion when Oleksandr Usyk relinquished that version of the title rather than face Dubois, who he’d already defeated in August of last year. Usyk takes on Tyson Fury in a rematch on Dec. 21 in Riyadh.

The Sporting News will provide live updates, undercard results, and round-by-round scoring on the main event.

We now switch to round-by-round scoring for Cacace vs. Warrington.

6:09 p.m. GMT/ 1.09 p.m. ET: Next up is a potential Fight of the Night between IBF super featherweight titleholder Anthony Cacace and former two-time featherweight king Josh Warrington. Cacace’s IBF title is not on the line, but this should be an explosive encounter nonetheless.

THE WINNER IS JOSH KELLY, WHO WINS A 12-ROUND SPLIT DECISION. OFFICIAL SCORES ARE 115-114, 115-113 AND 114-114.

6:00 p.m. GMT/ 1.00 p.m. ET: A moment of drama in round twelve when Davis breaks through with a big shot that has an effect. Kelly cut around the bridge of the nose and on the retreat. Suddenly Kelly looks exhausted and in a panic. He survives the round and will unquestionably get the decision.

5:48 p.m. GMT/ 12:48 p.m. ET: Only three rounds to go and Kelly will have a wide lead over late substitute Ishmael Davis. The latter needs a knockout to win and doesn’t look close to getting one.

5:40 p.m. GMT/ 12:40 p.m. ET: Former two-time heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury visits the dressing room of Willy Hutchinson, who will face the undefeated Joshua Buatsi in a light heavyweight grudge match later this evening.

5:31 p.m. GMT/ 12:31 p.m. ET: We’re six rounds down and there’s nothing new to report. Kelly remains in command with lateral movement and sharpshooting. Davis is game and coming forward, but he’s having limited success.

5:22 p.m. GMT/ 12:22 p.m. ET: Kelly’s superior reflexes and punch-picking have been enough for him to take the first three rounds. Davis is in hot pursuit, but he can’t land flush on the Sunderland man who is moving well and bossing the fight so far.

5:08 p.m. GMT/ 12:08 p.m. ET: Next up is Josh Kelly going against Ishmael Davis at middleweight. Davis replaces former world champion Liam Smith, who withdrew from the card due to a virus less than two weeks ago. Kelly is a massive favorite but Davis has vowed to put him to the test.

AND THE WINNER IS JOSH PADLEY, WHO USPETS THE ODDS TO CLAIM A 10-ROUND UNANIMOUS DECISION. OFFICIAL SCORES ARE 96-92, 96-92 AND 95-93.

4:52 p.m. GMT/ 11:42 a.m. ET: The fight is over and it was Chamberlain who finished the better in round ten. However, one 10-8 round in the eighth on a knockdown and a point deduction in the ninth will be difficult for him to overcome in the cards. Team Padley feels that they’ve done enough.

4:48 p.m. GMT/ 11:48 a.m. ET: Things are going from bad to worse for Chamberlain, who is now deducted a point by referee Victor Loughlin in round nine. With the way the round unfolded, that’s likely to have been two 10-8 rounds in succession for Padley. It’s a crisis for Chamberlain now.

4:44 p.m. GMT/ 11:44 a.m. ET: WOW!!! PADLEY DECKS HIS MAN WITH AN EXCELLENT LEFT HAND at centre ring in round eight. Chamberlain is up and lands solidly himself, but that moment gives Padley a major boost on the cards with a 10-8 round.

4:37 p.m. GMT/ 11:37 a.m. ET: We’re through six rounds and this all-British showdown has been largely untidy with head clashes and rough house tactics being the main talking point. The big surprise is that Padley is keeping things very close. Chamberlain has had more success over the last two rounds but nothing resembling a serious breakthrough.

4:27 p.m. GMT/ 11:27 a.m. ET: Another clash of heads in the fourth opens a second cut over the right eye of Chamberlain, who is now looking extremely uncomfortable. Padley isn’t setting the world on fire, but the fight is a lot closer than people would have expected.

4:23 p.m. GMT/ 11:23 a.m. ET: We’re three rounds down and the fight is very even. Chamberlain, the southpaw favorite, is being tested by Padley, who is boxing clever and maintaining his distance. Chamberlain was cut between his eyes by a nasty clash of heads in the third.

4:10 p.m. GMT/ 11:10 a.m. ET: The first bout is underway. In a battle of unbeaten British lightweights, Mark Chamberlain takes on Josh Padley. There’s been plenty of bad blood, so fans will be hoping that translates into something special in the ring.

2:00 p.m. GMT/ 9:00 a.m. ET: Hello and welcome to The Sporting News’ live coverage of British boxing superstar Anthony Joshua challenging Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight championship.
