Househunters who missed out on buying AFL star Brad Crouch’s Adelaide home still have a chance to live in it.

The Kidman Park house at 4 Sydney Avenue, which the former Adelaide Crow sold for $647,500 in late November, has been listed for rent.

Jump Property Mile End director Lou Marchesan is advertising it at $500 a week with a $3000 bond.

“It’s been extremely popular,” he said.

“People locally and from interstate are looking to get into that one.”

The four-bedroom house was snapped up at auction in November by a young first-home buyer, three weeks after hitting the market.

Ray White Henley Beach principal Anthony Fahey, who marketed the property with Samuel Parsons, said six registered bidders vied for the keys to the house.

It sold just weeks after Crouch’s highly publicised move to Victoria to play for St Kilda was announced.

Property records show Crouch, who is from Ballarat and made his Adelaide debut in 2013, bought the home for $552,000 about five years ago.

When it hit the market, Mr Crouch said he was attracted to its size, location and potential.

“It’s 730sqm and I’ve loved how big it is,” he said.

“Its location between the city and the sea is great. I was about a five-minute drive to the footy club, so it was the perfect location for me.”

He and partner Brittany Kennedy renovated the kitchen, bathrooms and two rear rooms to transform it into an entertainment house, which his teammates also enjoyed over the years.

It’s not the first time the house has been on the rental market – property records show it was listed in March 2018 for $460 a week and April 2016 for $495.
