A Giving Champion for the Toronto Community – Lorna Rodrigues
Lorna Rodrigues is a woman who embodies the spirit of giving back. As the philanthropy lead for our Toronto office for several years, she has made a significant impact by ensuring that the team contributes consistently to the Yellow Brick House, an organization that supports women and children escaping abusive situations. Additionally, she has arranged for our team to work with the United Way of Toronto to mentor, providing guidance and support to young adults transitioning from school to career.
Despite her busy schedule as an office manager, Lorna has been an active member of our Toronto EXCITE community, working to create a culture of giving back. Her dedication to philanthropy is truly inspiring. When asked about what motivates her to give back, Lorna said, “It’s important to me because I’m grateful for what I have, and I believe that if I can give a little bit back, it can make a huge difference in someone’s life.”
Lorna has been instrumental in ensuring that the Toronto team supports the Yellow Brick House.
She has also played a key role in our team’s involvement with the United Way of Greater Toronto, an organization that prioritizes opportunities for equity-deserving groups and Indigenous communities impacted by poverty. This organization understands the needs of the community and works collaboratively with residents and partners to address them.
Her words remind us that even small contributions can have a big impact, and her unwavering dedication to helping others is truly inspiring:
“Philanthropy motivates and provides me with a sense of fulfillment and purpose, so naturally I was happy to take on the role for the Toronto Office.
As part of Extreme’s commitment to honoring Giving Champions, we are thrilled to spotlight Lorna Rodrigues, who embodies the spirit of giving back to her community. Her unwavering dedication to philanthropy has made a significant impact on our Toronto office and the wider community. Thank you, Lorna!
