Natalie Portman Becomes Mighty Thor In New ‘Love and Thunder’ Pic

Whosoever holds this hammer if (s)he be worthy…

Natalie Portman finally transforms into Mighty Thor for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder in a new photo.

A new image for Thor: Love and Thunder shows off Natalie Portman as Jane Foster in her Mighty Thor persona from the comics written by Jason Aaron. The star recently landed in Australia to begin work on the sequel, which has already been likened to Avengers 5 thanks to its grand scale and the impressive cast (including Natalie Portman) assembled by director Taika Waititi. The Marvel Studios sequel recently started production as set photos offered a glimpse of what might be an alien world.

The image comes from ‘jackson_caspersz’ and shows off how Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor costume might look in live action. Not only does the design give the star the hero’s intricately designed helmet (which also helps mask her identity) but it gives her an impressive new version of the Asgardian armor. Hopefully when the film eventually debuts in 2022, fans will see Natalie Portman wear a costume similar to this look.

What do you make of the Natalie Portman design? Are you excited to see the star get her own thunderous abilities next to Chris Hemsworth? Sound-off in the comments below!

Full details on the plot for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder are currently being kept under locka nd key, though the film will be partly based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, in which Jane Foster becomes the new Thor. Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Christian Bale.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on May 6, 2022. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on Chris Hemsworth’s upcoming sequel along with the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You can also subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
