This clever device can hold two RJ45 plugs facing each other in its mostly cylindrical body, which is 3D-printed in PETG for strength and heat resistance. One end is angled, while the other is flat, designed to facilitate travel through an enclosed environment. Plugs can be inserted with the tab facing into or out of the device’s partially open cavity, and it’s happy to hold cables with or without a molded strain relief.
This method would appear much more refined than simply duct taping cables together haphazardly, hoping the bond is good enough to make its way through a mystery environment. At the same time, the product listing advises using tape to affix the cable to the tapered end of the puller. While getting the tape off would still require a bit of cleanup, it’s a much better option than loosing a cable halfway into a wall!
