Added Gadget Capacity For Your Backpack!
Pat Regan, AKA patshead.com flies FPV miniquads. To keep things organized, he uses a backpack to tote around his rigs. However, instead of attempting to shove a quadcopter inside of the backpack, he straps it on the outside with this clever No-Sew Strap for Backpack or Bag.
As pictured below, the strap works well in the quad-on-backpack configuration. There’s another picture in the listing with a PlayStation controller hung on a laptop bag, and one can probably think of lots of other reasons why you’d want an external hook-and-loop fastener on your bag. Installation requires you to poke two holes in your backpack, through which bolts are inserted that capture the carbon fiber plates for the strap.
Cleverly, these carbon fiber plates and spacers are made out of scraps from another of his Tindie products, which uses a larger section of carbon fiber. Rather than throwing out this waste entirely, Regan has figured out how to turn it into something useful. It’s a really neat idea, and repurposing scraps is definitely something to keep in mind when producing your own creations.
