A Memorial for the Titanic Gone Dark
The 109-year-old Titanic Memorial Lighthouse has stood on a landlocked corner at the entrance of Manhattan’s South Street Seaport, dwarfed by modern towers, since 1976. Shabby and streaked with rust, it is passed with scarcely a glance by most people heading to the shops and bars on historic Fulton Street.
