There’s a new star in the reality TV show Luxe Listings Sydney, and a teaser video indicates viewers can expect some fierce rivalry with her co-stars.

The elite real estate agent, Monika Tu, will appear in the second series of the popular property show when it returns to Amazon Prime on April 1.

And it will be interesting to see how the introduction of the Chinese-Australian founder and Director of the Black Diamondz Group will affect the dynamics when she appears alongside Ray White TRG principal Gavin Rubinstein, Laing and Simmons Double Bay boss D’Leanne Lewis and esteemed buyer’s agent Simon Cohen.

Buyer’s agent Simon Cohen returns for the second series.

Last year’s Series 1 saw intense feuding between two of the stars, Rubinstein and Lewis.

And the promoters are promising “More Listings, More Luxe, More Rivalry” in Series 2.

While the showcasing of the beautiful homes of Sydney is one factor in the appeal of the show, it’s the energy and, yes, rivalry, that turns it into a fun soap opera.

So no surprise that Cohen says in the teaser “I’ll leave no stone unturned for my clients” and Rubinstein vows “I need to dominate the Sydney real estate market” to which Lewis adds “May the best man win” — though little doubt she’ll be doing her darenedest to ensure it won’t be a man that comes out on top.

Gavin Rubinstein is also back.

It’s at this point in the teaser that we’re introduced to Tu.

Rubinstein’s Ray White TRG marketing chief Remi Lindsay appears, telling her boss: “Lucky you’re sitting down — brace yourself.”

Cut to some white stiletto heels dropping out onto the roadway, and Tu, who simply asks: “How do I look? OK? Skinny?”

Tu was just sitting down to continuing Chinese New Year celebrations last night when I called, so there wasn’t time to elaborate.

But she said she loved doing the six-part show.

Luxe Listings Sydney is executive produced by Eureka Productions’ Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Rikkie Proost, Evan Wilkes, Jake Hargreaves and Anastassia Gerakas, along with series creators and executive producers Benjamin Scott and James Kennedy through Kentel.
