Incredible Wagstaffe mansion sets new Central Coast real estate sales record
One of the Central Coast’s most stunning homes has smashed the local sales record it set just two years ago with a new eye-watering price tag.
When it last sold in 2020, the waterfront mansion at 6 Bulkara St, Wagstaffe set a new Central Coast record of $9.5m.
Now, two years later, it is still the most expensive home on the Central Coast, but with an even more impressive sales value.
The property was brought to market by Central Coast Belle Property Principal Cathy Baker, who did not disclose exactly how much the home sold for, but said that it “exceeded the price guide of $13.5m”.

The incredible price heralds a new era of top ends sales in the area.
“From the resort-style pool to the private entertaining area and the well thought out bedrooms and chic light-filled living spaces, it is the epitome of coastal living and the ideal holiday home,” Mrs Baker said.
“Waterfronts of this nature are usually tightly held so whenever one of them hits the market, there’s usually high demand from people looking at buying their perfect holiday home.”
Mrs Baker herself took part in many of the Central Coast’s biggest sales – including the record-breaking sale of Ray Hadley’s weekend getaway home at Toowoon Bay for more than $9m.
Nicknamed ‘Agave’, the home at 6 Bulkara St was named Australian House of the Year and best Custom-Built Home at the 2018 Housing Industry Association awards.
“It is an extraordinary time for the prestige property market on the Central Coast. Between the improved access of the NorthConnex and the flexible work arrangements off the back of the pandemic, the Coast has become a sought-after sea change for many Sydneysiders,” Mrs Baker said.
“While there is increasing talk of a shift in the property market in the future, we’re still experiencing unprecedented market conditions across the luxury market due to the pandemic – premium properties are performing at an all time high.”
The $10m plus prices being achieved on Sydney’s northern beaches in Palm Beach, Whale Beach and Bilgola are now being mirrored further north on the Central Coast.
Spread over two levels, the property has several standout features including seven bedrooms with ensuites, a walk-in cellar, gourmet kitchen with designer appliances and butler’s pantry and an outdoor entertaining area with a barbecue and infinity pool.
The Central Coast record for an apartment at 4/2 Barnhill Road Terrigal, was set in November last year for $5.5m.
