Exclusive: The insane car lover’s mansion set to break Brisbane’s house price record
THE garage alone is worth more than many of Brisbane’s most luxurious homes — and that’s without the multimillion-dollar car collection.
Add in a six-bedroom main residence, a separate guesthouse, a games arcade, two gyms, two spas, four offices, two cinemas, five storerooms, a resort-style pool, a commercial bar, a 3D golf simulator, a soccer field and a championship-sized tennis court, all on 10,000 sqm of land, and you have a strong contender for the city’s most expensive house.

Why city slickers think this property is the GOAT
Ashmore home blows its own price record out of the water
Meet 74 Bacton Road; the kind of McMansion you might expect to find in Los Angeles or Dubai — not in suburban Chandler.
The current record for the sale of a residential home in Brisbane sits at $18.48 million, which was set when a clifftop house at 1 Leopard Street, Kangaroo Point sold in 2017.
But marketing agent Heath Williams of Place New Farm said the Chandler property could eclipse that record.
“We think this could be Brisbane’s most expensive house,” Mr Williams said.
“Just the sheer replacement costs of it. An average, well-built, well-specced house would cost $4500 a square metre.”
The property is 3000 sqm under roof, so that equates to at least $13 million in build costs alone, not including the land and all the features.
Mr Williams, who resold 1 Leopard Street earlier this year for $15 million, said the property did not officially hit the market until Monday, but he had already shown it to one of the potential buyers on his database.
“I’ve already got a second inspection on it with someone I was working with previously on Leopard Street,” he said.
“It doesn’t have the views (that Leopard Street does), but it offers every trick under the sun.
“It’s an incredible family home. I haven’t seen a home like this in Australia.”

The home’s owner, a long-term Brisbane resident who did not want to comment, built the property over many years.
“It’s been a project of passion,” Mr Williams said.
The garage, which is worth around six times the median house price in Brisbane, can accommodate up to 30 vehicles and currently houses an impressive collection, including Ferraris, Porsches and Aston Martins.
It also has security cameras with number plate recognition.
“It could definitely suit someone with a car collection,” Mr Williams said.
