Burger Steak

Biting into a rich, thick burger patty is arguably one of the most satisfying classic dining experiences. Perhaps it is what leads us running again and again to our favorite burger joints. But if you decide to make them, yourself, you’ll have the agency to choose your seasonings, and very importantly, sauces to match your palate. And if flavorful, copious amounts of warm gravy is your preference, you might want to try my Beef Burger Steak recipe.

You might have had a taste of this kind of dish not just in Filipino restaurants, but in dining places of all types of cuisine. This happens to be a well-loved variation of having your burger patty because of how much of a difference gravy makes in coating some well-seasoned, fried beef.
Try having some at home, by giving this recipe a shot!

Bite into a gorgeously savory and juicy Beef Burger Steak of your own making! Let’s try making this dish, starting with the patties:

We will begin by molding and making our beef patties. Put 1 lb. of ground beef, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper, and 1 beaten egg together in one container. Then grate 1 Knorr beef cube for an enticingly meaty flavor onto the ingredients, then mix them together well.

Now we are ready to shape these patties by scooping about ¼ cup of the meat mixture, and molding these into a ball shape. Then proceed to flatter this down. After doing these for your patties, start preparing to cook them.

Get your pan, and heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in it. Place your patties on the pan, and let one side of these fry, until they have turned brown. Then flip them and do the same for the other side. Once both sides of your patties are perfectly brown and fried, you can remove them from the pan, and set them aside.

Time to work on the gravy drizzled atop our burger patties:

Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan. Once this is melted properly, you may place 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour in the pan. Then cook this together in medium heat, while continuously stirring for 8 minutes. This should make a beautiful brown roux.

Proceed to pour 1 ¾ cups of water into the mix, and stir these together until they have blended well together. As you are doing this, you should be able to observe your gravy forming by thickening over time.
Then for a great deal of flavor, add your ½ teaspoon of onion powder, ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder, ground black pepper, and ¼ teaspoon of Knorr liquid seasoning into the saucepan. Cook these together for 30 seconds, then place 5 ounces of thinly sliced button mushrooms. Go on to cook this for 1 minute, then set your sauce aside.

Assemble your Beef Burger Steak, and get ready to serve:

Now we should whip out the patties we’ve set aside earlier. Place these over a cup of warm, fresh rice. And pour the gravy sauce we cooked earlier over your patties and rice.

Use 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley as a pleasant garnish atop the patties. Then you can serve this– of course, best when fresh out of the pan– and munch on with delight!
