The Power of Signage
The name McGraw-Hill, rendered in intricate Art Deco terra-cotta lettering, has adorned the crown of the eponymous modernist building on West 42nd Street for 90 years. The restoration, by the architect Cosmo Veneziale and Jablonski Building Conservation, included the replacement of badly deteriorated pieces of the chevron design above the letters.
