How to Spend Meaningful Time with Your Partner, While Staying Covid-Safe

Spending time with your partner hasn’t been tough recently if you live together with them. With most of us staying home more than ever before, lockdown has meant spending a lot of time together, but that’s not the same as spending meaningful time together. That’s what you should make time to do if you want to stave off lockdown cabin fever. Here are some ideas on how to do that while staying Covid-safe.

Plan Something for the Post-Covid Future Together

Just because you can’t go and do all the things you’d want to do right now, that doesn’t mean you can’t make plans for the future. I don’t know about you, but I always find that planning a trip is almost as enjoyable and exciting as actually taking it. If you do that together, you can have a great time doing something positive and fun, and it’ll bear fruit later when you can travel.

Complete a Movie Marathon

Movie marathons are a lot of fun, but only when you spend them with someone close to you. Being able to argue over which actor’s performance was terrible and which film to watch next, taking it in turn to pick the movies can be a lot of fun. And it’s something that you can both do together from your sofa, so what’s not to like about it?

Hold a Cook-Off

There are so many fun indoor activities for couples, and one of them involves a cook-off. You can each cook a dish for each other and see who wins the contest when all is said and done. Cooking for each other is always fun and allows you to share time together when you sit down and eat. So why not turn up the fun levels by holding a cook-off between the pair of you?

Explore the Outdoors Somewhere Secluded

Right now, visiting crowded places and indoor public spaces is not the best idea for most people. But that doesn’t stop you from heading somewhere remote and secluded and exploring the outdoors, even more so if you have big open outdoor spaces somewhere near you. It’s something that you should most definitely consider if you want a fun and Covid-safe way to spend time together.

Teach Each Other Something

If your partner has a skill that you wish you had and you know about something that they lack an understanding of, you could take the time to swap knowledge and teach each other something? Doing that can be a lot of fun and it can also be a great way to bring you closer to one another, which is obviously always important in a relationship, especially when times are tough.

Each of the ideas we’ve discussed here will help you to get more out of the time you spend together with your partner while not putting yourself or anyone else at risk during these strange and uncertain times. Be sure to make the most of them and keep your relationship on the right tracks.
