‘Spider-Man 4’ Rumor Suggests Madelyn Cline Is Being Eyed For A Role In The MCU

Is Madelyn Cline on her way to the MCU? A new rumor suggests Marvel Studios has their eye on the actress for a role in Spider-Man 4.

It seems production on Spider-Man 4 is finally ramping up! The production has been caught in limbo for years as Marvel Studios attempted to figure out a new direction for the sequel following one of their biggest successes in the history of the MCU. Yet with a release date set and a working title locked, it seems casting for the project has finally begun, with one of the first names floated being Madelyn Cline.

This rumor stems from a Deux Moi blind item, which is essentially an anonymous tip about news in the world of pop culture. According to the blind item, Marvel Studios wants Madelyn Cline to play one of the female leads in Spider-Man 4. While the tip didn’t reveal who the Outer Banks star may be playing, the internet has two main suspects when it comes to her role.

Who Is Madelyn Cline Playing In Spider-Man 4?

This rumor comes fresh off the back of speculation that Gwen Stacy would be making her MCU debut in Spider-Man 4 thanks to the project’s working title. If this is true, it’s more likely than not that Madelyn Cline might be playing Peter Parker’s most iconic love interest. This could mean her role in the franchise might be cut tragically short, especially as Zendaya is also set to return as MJ.

The other character spinning around the rumor mill is Black Cat. Fans have long been hoping that Felicia Hardy would make her debut as a love interest in Spider-Man 4, especially given it’s expected to focus on an adaptation of the symbiote saga. The actress certainly fits the profile for both parts, though which she ultimately ends up landing will likely be known soon as production starts to ramp up on the project.
