Tom Brady eviscerates Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers in mid-game response to ‘stressed out’ comments

Throughout his storied career, former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady showed that he was always focused on winning and accomplishing that goal in any way he could.

Brady won six Super Bowls in New England during his 20 seasons with the team and won another with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after his departure.

Earlier this month, Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield, who has had a career resurgence with the team, said his teammates felt stressed out while playing with Brady in his search for a seventh and eighth Lombardi Trophy.

“The building was a little bit different with Tom in there. Obviously, playing-wise, Tom is different. He had everybody dialed in, high-strung environment, so I think everybody was pretty stressed out,” Mayfield said. “They wanted me to come in, be myself, bring the joy back to football for guys who weren’t having as much fun.”

On Sunday, Brady was FOX’s color commentator for the Buccaneers’ Week 4 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, and he didn’t hold back in responding to those comments.

“I thought stressful was not having Super Bowl rings,” Brady said. “This wasn’t daycare… If I was going to have fun, I was going to Disneyland with my kids. There’s a way to approach this game and it’s with the right mindset to push teammates.”

Brady still has that fire in him to prove doubters wrong and win. In his new role, if he’s not afraid to tell it how it is like this, it’ll make for a more compelling broadcast.
