‘Venom: The Last Dance’ International TV Spot Seemingly Reveals New Symbiote

Venom: The Last Dance is getting another symbiote! An international TV spot for the film seemingly reveals Lasher as a villain in the upcoming film.

Action is being cranked up to eleven in Venom: The Last Dance. All of the teasers so far have shown absolute carnage (pun intended). However, despite some big names being attached, it still isn’t clear who will be the main antagonist in the movie. While fans assumed it would be a symbiote, a new TV spot reveals that it may very well be the villainous spawn of Venom himself: Lasher.

This was revealed in an international TV spot for Venom: The Last Dance. In it, fans briefly get a glimpse of a symbiote with a sickly green color. When going through the character’s villain catalog from the comics, the only symbiote that aligns with that exact color scheme is Lasher.

Who Is Venom’s New Symbiote Villain Lasher?

Ahead of Venom: The Last Dance, many assumed the new symbiote introduced would be Toxin. This is as, in the last Venom film, Officer Patrick Mulligan was teased to be the host of one of the symbiote’s spawns. However, Toxin is red with a black lower half. Given the color scheme above, Lasher makes far more sense as a villain, especially since he too is a spawn of Venom.

Unlike Toxin, Lasher wasn’t a natural spawn of Venom. Rather, he was one of the five symbiote spawns forced from him by the Life Foundation. Given the organization already played a large role in the first Venom film, it’s unlikely they’ll return to their old tricks in Venom: The Last Dance, which may be why the studio decided to combine the origins of the two iconic characters into one villain.

Venom: The Last Dance hits theaters on October 25, 2024.  Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Sony Universe of Marvel Characters and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
