‘Superman’ Set Footage Shows Off David Corenswet’s Strength As The Man Of Steel
Superman can raise tremendous weights! New set footage reveals how strong the Man of Steel truly is in the new DC Universe.
While fans have seen a lot of the DC Universe from recent Superman set photos, there hasn’t been much in the way of action. However, it seems David Corenswet’s guns aren’t just for show! The set footage from Cleveland.com reveals the Man of Steel struggling to support a chunk of rubble.
Given the amount of shade and the effort Superman is putting into supporting the rubble, its likely the chunk of concrete David Corenswet is holding will be swapped out during the VFX stage. Given the composition of both the shot and prop, it’s likely the Man of Steel will be holding up a large building or a railway, both common sights in the comics of the DC Universe.
Superman’s Role In The DC Universe
It’s clear David Corenswet’s incarnation of Superman is more focused on saving people than stopping crime. This is supported by recent set photos revealing a heartwarming reference to All-Star Superman, as well as the general warm presence seen in the footage.
Superman is taking the character in a direction fans haven’t seen in years: actually helping the citizens of the DC Universe. While the Man of Steel has always blocked bullets and crossed buildings in a single bound, the core of the character has always been helping others. It’s a relief James Gunn understands that to its fullest.
Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
