‘Star Wars’: ‘The Mandalorian’ Nabs Golden Globe Nomination For Best Drama Series

This is the way.

The second season of live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian has been nominated for a Golden Globe.

It’s an understatement to say that audiences have loved the second season of The Mandalorian last year after it was filled with an emotionally compelling story as well as some incredible appearances from some classic Star Wars characters like Ahsoka Tano and of course, Luke Skywalker. And now, the Disney Plus series has been nominated at the Golden Globes.

The Mandalorian received a nomination for Best TV Drama Series, which is impressive given the incredible caliber of shows over the past twelve months. This also makes the first time a Disney Plus series has received a nomination by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Whether it actually wins the Golden Globe remains to be seen, since the Star Wars show goes up against some tough competition. Also nominated for the award are HBO’s Lovecraft Country, Ozark, Ratched, and The Crown.

What do you make of The Mandalorian‘s Golden Globe nomination? Are you excited to see the third season? Which other Star Wars show are you excited to see on the streaming service? Sound-off in the comments below!
